Job Description
This position is located in Iqaluit, and preference will be given to Nunavut Inuit.
Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is the sole provider of electricity and district heating in Nunavut, owned by the Government of Nunavut. The Policy Analyst supports the Manager, Policy and Corporate Affairs by researching policy and programs related to territorial energy requirements, public opinion, corporate ethics, and corporate governance. The position also assists in the dissemination of information to and from the Minister’s office, Board of Directors, Senior Management Committee, and external partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct cross‑sectoral analysis, environmental scans, and needs assessments. Identify trends and stay informed of environmental, technological, social, and political developments that relate to corporate policy priorities and new policy initiatives.
