PLC Programmer (Burnaby)

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal and Allen-Bradley Studio 5000/RSLogix.
• Configure and integrate PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and industrial devices.
• Support machine and process automation projects from development through commissioning.
• Perform I/O checks, loop checks, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
• Assist in commissioning and startup activities at customer sites.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and OPC.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, communication, and field device issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teams for project execution.
