Physicians – Pain & Symptom Management/Palliative Care - BC Cancer – Prince George

Responsibilities

• Participate in the clinical, educational and research activities of the Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care (PSMPC) team.
• Address the palliative care needs of ambulant cancer patients, integrated with oncological management, including survivorship context.
• Facilitate a coordinated approach and ensure continuity of palliative care support through effective communication and transfers back to community‑level physicians and home care/palliative care services.
• Provide consultation and education to other BC Cancer care teams and community‑based care providers as required.
• Support and engage in research and education interests in palliative and supportive care.
• Enhance awareness and provide public and provider education on palliative care and symptom management for oncology patients.
