Surgical pathology receives biopsies, small specimens, skin specimens, and complex resection cases from a diverse range of specialties, with emphasis in GI and pancreatobiliary, genitourinary/renal, lung, and ENT cases. Grossing is performed by grossing technicians. Sign out of dermatopathology cases is performed by dermatopathologists. Autopsies are performed at an outside institution.
