Physical Security Specialist

Summary This position is located in the district of Virgin Islands. The position will be filled in either Saint Croix, VI or Saint Thomas, VI based on management's discretion. The selectee of this position serves as a Physical Security Specialist. You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist responsible for managing the District security equipment/systems. Responsibilities As a Physical Security Specialist at the GS-0080-12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Conducting testing of security and screening equipment (e.g., walk-thru metal detectors, x -ray machines, explosive trace detection units, handheld metal detectors, duress alarms, cameras, intercoms, entry control packages, etc.). Conveying complex security requirements and recommendations. Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and carrying out Judicial Security work.
