Responsibilities Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician helps to provide technical support functions in accordance with accepted policies and procedures. As directed by a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs clerical duties and other miscellaneous functions as needed for the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. Responsible for performing the established medication distribution functions on a daily basis according to accepted pharmacy policy and procedures. Responsible for administrating certain prescribed medications via the directly observed therapy as mandated by the Health Services Manual. Prepares prescription labels as appropriate.
