**What You Will Do** **:**

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to processing of overpayments made to UAB Hospital/PFS. Such duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Processes returned refunds
+ Routes insurance payer requests for processing
+ Assists team with prepping/mailing of overpayments
+ Communicates issues to management timely
+ Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisors

**What You Will Need** **:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 0-2 years of prior relevant experience

**What Would Be Nice to Have** **:**

+ Two years of related experience and general knowledge of payor-specific or medical specialty billing.
