**PURPOSE:**
The intern position resides within the Payment Integrity Department. This team is responsible for supporting the clinical editing Pre-Pay process with ongoing process improvement support. Inter will be participating in project workstreams supporting Cost of Care initiatives. Ideal candidates must have knowledge of business administration. An interest in healthcare, business administration, project management, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
CareFirst runs a **year-round** internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who can commit to work **_throughout the year part-time up to 15-20 hours in the Spring/Fall AND full-time 40 hours in the Summer._** This is a remote position with an anticipated start date in October 2026.
