Job Summary

Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.


Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to and from various departments within the hospital setting.Provides patient services to the infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.Delivers specimens and supplies to and from Nursing Departments as assigned.


Example of Essential Functions:

  • Promptly and courteously provides patient transport services between all nursing departments within established time frames.Including those departments that do not have coverage.

  • Provides services as patients are discharged from nursing department when the volunteer and nursing staff is not available in a timely manner.
