Job Description

The Patient Care Technician on the G15 Myeloma/Lymphoma unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a CNA certification and at least one year of patient care experience. The candidate must be available to work a combination of two 12-hour shifts and two-eight hour shifts each week, with rotating weekends and holidays. This department is hiring for both Day/Evening shift (7:00am - 7:00pm, 7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00p - 11:00pm) and Evening/Night shift (7:00pm - 7:00am, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, and 11:00pm - 7:00am).
G15 Myeloma/Lymphoma is a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma and lymphoma. Nurses on this unit deliver complex therapies, manage side effects, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
