Patient Care Technician - Alliant Specialty Acute Care Hospital - Days

Summary

Works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse providing patient care in the clinical setting. Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered. Care includes but is not limited to providing patients’ daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures are in place, communication with patient and care team, and documentation of care provided. Additional skills include urinary catheter insertion and removal, removal of IV reseal, suprapubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement, and ostomy care/maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Patient Care Technician certification (if applicable) and/or other specialty reference summary.
• Active CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within seven days of hire.
