Full Job Description – Pastoral Assistant

Care First: Further Education – Great Barr Campus

Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pastoral support to learners, including those in crisis or requiring additional care, and assist with individual behaviour and support plans.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Support learners during breaks, lunchtimes, and transitions to encourage engagement and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure consistent support for learners.
