Job Description

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse University is looking for an individual to teach TRF 453/653 Short-Form Production on Tuesdays/Thursdays 3:30-4:50 in the Fall 2026 semester (3 credits).

Course Description: Techniques of shortform moving image media such as commercials, promos, music videos, show openings, special effects, and high impact packaging.

This course is an intermediate production course covering the introduction to the theory and practice related to multimedia shortform production. Shortform production encompass a wide range of specialized program niches: commercials, music videos, on-air promos, identity packages; program opens; to name a few.
