Part-Time Clinical, Lab, or Simulation Faculty - School of Nursing

Job Description Summary

: Part-Time Faculty provide direct instruction and supervision of students in the BSN or MSN programs. They possess a significant knowledge base in their specialty area (Pediatrics, Psych/Mental Health, Obstetrics – Mother/Baby, Medical/Surgical, and/or Community Health) and bring a wealth of experience, as well as awareness of current practice issues and trends.

Complete all related teaching responsibilities such as enforcing attendance policies, teaching students to apply what they are learning in class in the clinical environment, evaluating student clinical performance, completing clinical site evaluations, etc.

Participate in routine meetings with the Faculty of Record (FOR) to review the syllabus and course expectations.

Manage clinical, lab, or simulation instructional settings and environments through active instructor presence to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
