Park Technician Arborist Opportunity

Contribute to Fort St. John's Urban Forest as a Park Technician Arborist. This role includes tree maintenance, disease control, and seasonal recreational support across municipal lands.

As an Arborist, you will perform tree care tasks that support both safety and ecological health. Engage with the community through educational outreach while planning and executing tree planting and care initiatives aligned with the Urban Forest Strategy. The role requires independent work and effective communication with public and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and report hazardous trees in the community
• Conduct tree planting, pruning, and maintenance tasks
• Manage pests via pesticide applications
• Help develop and implement the annual planting plan
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
