Job Description
THE ROLE
Paralegals perform a critical role in supporting the Statewide Child Protection Litigation Office's (CPLO) teams of solicitors who provide legal advice, case management and representation for the child protection program. Reporting to the Team Leader Child Protection Litigation Support and working alongside the Metropolitan West Melbourne CPLO team, paralegal duties include performing file and record management tasks, coordinating court listings, case allocations, barrister briefing, and assisting with legal correspondence. In this role you will provide wide ranging support to all staff as a member of the statewide paralegal team. This may include data entry into matter management system, LEX, SharePoint, OurBriefings and other IT systems such as the Children's Court of Victora, Case Management System (CMS) and the preparation of matter management reports.
