PA/NP - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Grand Rapids, MI

As an important member of the Medical Intensive Care multidisciplinary team, you would be diagnosing and treating medically complex patients. The ideal candidate would be passionate about this patient population



Responsible for managing critically ill patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines. Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others, health team members and the community and coordinates. Complete H&P, consults, admissions, rounding and procedures.

+ Admissions
+ Consults
+ Procedures (arterial lines, central lines, intubations, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, dialysis catheters)
+ Code response team
+ Care conferences (Palliative or end of life)



Hours Worked:
+ 7 - 12 hour shifts every two weeks.
+ Every other weekend
