Summary The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), West Los Angeles Medical Center Campuses, (Engineering Service). The primary purpose of the incumbent is to work in conjunction with other painters, to cover over 1 million square feet of conditioned space. Responsibilities Duties included but not limited to: Prepare coating materials with any of the accepted trade devices including those designed to give special effects such as brushes, rollers, spray guns and graining devices. Skilled in use of the trowel in spreading mortar and finishing joints and in the use of gauge line, spirit level, and plumb bob in obtaining straight courses. Ensures that the coating finish meets/match texture, decorative, thickness and level requirements. Perform duties of a journeyman Painter as well as some carpentry and masonry in conjunction with maintenance, repair, renovating and construction of hospital environment. Knowledge of constructio...
