Outpatient Medical Coder

Qualifications

• Holds an active Medical Coding Certification (CPC, COC, CCS and/or CCS-P)
• At least 2+ years of OP (SDS and/or ED – E/M) coding experience
• Advantage given to those with Charge Capture/Charge Audit, OP QA, or Auditor experience
• Medical allied/non‑medical allied course graduate, associate degree holder, or PHRN holder
• Experience in any EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner and Meditech
• Prior experience as a nurse coder or clinical background in an ED or urgent care setting
