- Develop an understanding of the skills, processes and equipment for the manufacture of high precision optical components from a range of materials.
- Design and manufacture custom tooling for the manufacture of optical components
- Review project instructions, specifications and drawings to plan fabrication and testing of precision optical components and opto‑mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with specifications.
- Set up, test and measure optical components using various types of metrology and optical testing equipment. Accurately interpret and record measurement data and test results.
