UPMC Vision Institute is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support our Tarentum office located at 303 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, PA 15084. This position works Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional 7:15 a.m. start times as technicians rotate schedules. The Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing patient workups, documenting medical histories, obtaining diagnostic testing, preparing patients for examination and treatment, and assisting providers with clinical procedures. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting, demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and be committed to providing exceptional patient service.
