+ Three-12-Hour Shifts a week from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm EST
+ Tuesdays, Fridays, and choice of third day
Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Operating Room Assistant, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, will provide patient care tasks, in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Organization.
What you will do:
+ Assistswith placing patient in the designated surgical position (e.g.supine, prone, lateral, lithotomy).
+ Monitor positioning and traction devices asappropriate.
+ Verifiesintegrityof sterile packaging and sterilization indicators.
+ Open sterile supplies and instruments using aseptictechnique.
