**Job Description**

Under general supervision of ophthalmologist, performs as visual field technician during examination/treatment. Provides steady patient flow through clinic area. May perform other basic or specialized technical vision measurements as requested. Completes all relevant medical documentation as required. May assist ophthalmologist with research protocols. Job requires providing technical assistance during delivery of patient care.

**Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Job requires minimum level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through completion of a training program at a recognized ophthalmic medical assistant training facility in order to learn visual field and other ophthalmic testing techniques.
