Occupational Therapist - Women's Secure Forensic Unit

Job Overview

The Complex Care and Recovery Program is seeking a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist to work in the Women’s Secure Forensic Unit and the Structured Observation and Treatment Unit. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will be a member of an interprofessional team, which provides care to forensic female inpatients detained at medium security under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board (ORB). Using a new evidence based intervention, clients are provided with specialized psychiatric and discipline specific assessment along with intensive care using Cognitive Adaptation Training principles. In addition, you will work with inpatients who need a structured setting for treatment and stabilization of aggressive behaviour.
