About the role

Education is central to the Nurse/Midwife Educator role; however, to influence and strengthen nursing/midwifery practice it is essential that the role is underpinned by all the competencies described in the position below.

• Support new and existing staff within the Community team with the provision of education, training and resources that ensure practice is current, evidence-based and fit for purpose
• Collaborate alongside nurses, medical colleagues and other educators within the wider PDU team
• Provide practice and professional development opportunities that enhance service delivery, quality and safety alongside improved patient outcomes
