Job Summary

Install, replace and maintain thermal and acoustic insulation systems in buildings and industrial facilities. Perform measuring, cutting, fitting and finishing of insulation materials while following applicable safety procedures.

Main Duties

• Measure, cut, shape and install insulation materials (batt, blanket, rigid board, spray foam, blown-in) on pipes, ducts, equipment, walls, ceilings and floors.
• Apply vapor barriers, jackets, sealants and firestopping materials to ensure thermal and moisture protection and compliance with specifications.
• Remove deteriorated or damaged insulation and prepare surfaces for replacement, including cleaning and disposal of waste according to site procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work orders to calculate material quantities and plan installation layouts.
