Next-Generation Security Testing and Vulnerability Management for Embedded Systems

The research group DistriNet campus Ghent is active in the domain of software security. The research focuses on two subdomains namely (a) vulnerability management and security testing of embedded systems and (b) privacy enhancing technologies. Many research activities are performed in close collaboration with industrial stakeholders.

Project

The PhD or postdoc reseacher will work on next-generation security testing and vulnerability management techniques that will become a key component in securing connected embedded systems. In particular, the candidate will investigate the potential of hybrid testing by combining methods (like fuzzing, symbolic execution and artificial intelligence) to improve vulnerability detection tools.
