Job Description
To assess, diagnose, and monitor neurological disorders by studying the electrical activity of the nervous system using specialized tests and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform neurophysiological tests (EEG, EMG, Evoked Potentials)
- Interpret test results to aid diagnosis
- Collaborate with neurologists and surgeons
- Monitor neural function during surgeries
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Stay updated with neurophysiology advancements
- Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments
- Typical daytime hours; minimal night shifts
- Hospital, surgical, or research lab environments
- May involve intraoperative monitoring during surgeries
- Reports to Head of Neurology or Clinical Director
- Collaborates with neurologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technicians
