• MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (DCH or MD Pediatrics) or equivalent.
  
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC).
  
• Completion of a recognized neonatology fellowship or training program (preferred, but not mandatory for fresher candidates with strong academic performance).
  
• Strong foundational knowledge of neonatal physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
  
• Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation protocols (NRP certification is highly desirable).
