Nature Conservation Expert

Job Description

The role of a nature conservation expert includes conducting inventories of degraded habitats, planning management and restoration, and procuring and coordinating inventories, management, and restoration work. The work is primarily focused on forested habitats and traditional biotopes.

The position also involves preparing support decisions under the Nature Conservation Act, maintaining nature conservation information systems, and collaborating with landowners and other stakeholders.

As a broad-based expert organization, the Voimakeskus (Vitality Center) provides strong support and a collaborative work community.

The area of responsibility for this position includes South Karelia, Kymenlaakso, and Päijät-Häme.

The position is located within the Southeast Finland Voimakeskus, in the Rural and Environment Department, Environmental Unit, at the Kouvola, Lahti, or Lappeenranta offices.
