National Professional Officer (NCD)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Under the direct supervision of the National Professional Officer (Health Promotion and Social Determinants of Health) and general supervision of the Team Lead, NCDs and Healthier Populations, the incumbent will perform all,or part of the following, and other related responsibilities as required by the needs of the office:Collaborate closely with concerned government counterparts, partners, and WHO colleagues to, coordinate the implementation of national and subnational NCD prevention and control initiatives;Provide technical advice to the MoH and other national authorities on the development and implementation of multisectoral action plans and policies for the prevention and control of NCDs, with special emphasison the WHO “best buy” interventions;Provide technical input on the planning and development of country-focused multi-sectoral action for NCDs and their risk factors, including but not limited to NCDs (cardiovascular diseases, diabetes,...
