Job Summary: 
 

Reporting to the Senior Multiskilled Technician (Commercial Vehicles), the post holder is responsible for preparing, maintaining and repairing the Council’s fleet of approximately 200 vehicles, including road sweepers. This multiskilled role encompasses vehicle mechanics, vehicle electrics, and coach building (fabrication and bodywork), ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant, costeffective, and operational. Work is completed independently or as part of a team to required standards, regulations and manufacturer specifications.

  • There is 1 permanent post based in North Road Depot Newtownards, however successful candidates will work throughout the Borough
  • The salary scale is SO1, £35,412 to £37,280 per annum, £18.91 to 19.91 per hour, working 36 hours per week 
  • The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and Friday 7.00 am ...
