Job Overview
The Residential Mortgage Funder is responsible for instructing, advancing, and closing mortgage files. This role includes preparing documentation, coordinating with solicitors and the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the timely release of mortgage funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Check with law society for entitlement of solicitor
- Verify information for accuracy, including correct lender and CMHC/Sagen/CG approvals
- Contact solicitors to confirm representation on behalf of mortgagor
- Prepare and send instructional packages to solicitors with relevant documents
