Weather Specialist
Experience - 5-12 Years
Job location - Bangalore
- Meteorological subject matter expert.
- Ensure that weather related products are scientifically accurate, operationally reliable and fit for downstream consumption.
- Works with Data Scientists on building, analyzing forecasting models, reviewing model outputs, and defining quality standards that govern what gets shipped to users.
- Up to date with recent developments of weather forecasting models both physical and AI-based.
- Mentors team members with domain knowledge on weather/climate.
- Report generation of the model analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with weather forecasting.
- Proficient in Python.
- Solid understanding of forecast data formats: GRIB2, NetCDF, zarr.
- Strong communication skills
