Mentor for Debate Summer Program

Join Branksome Hall as a Mentor for the Debate and Public Speaking Program. Work with students in Grades 7-11 to cultivate their communication skills this Summer 2026.
In this 1-3 week role during July/August with the Slingshot Innovation Academy, you’ll assist the Lead Facilitator and engage students in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Ideal candidates will demonstrate passion for mentoring youth and guiding them toward excellence in debate and public speaking.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily program activities and lesson plans
• Mentor students in developing their debate skills
• Facilitate group discussions and one-on-one mentorship
• Provide targeted feedback to enhance learning outcomes
• Promote teamwork and positive engagement in the classroom
Requirements:
• Enrollment or graduation from a post-secondary program
• Strong background in debate and public speaking
• Experience with youth in educational or leadership roles
