Medical Research Specialist I

Job Description

The Medical Research Specialist will play a key role in conducting and supporting histopathology‑based, protein‑based, and molecular‑based research studies. The successful candidate will perform advanced tissue processing and staining techniques, Western blot, Elisa, Real‑Time PCR, assist with experimental design and data analysis, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with faculty, trainees, and interdisciplinary research teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Process human and/or animal tissue specimens for research purposes, including fixation, embedding, microtomy, and cryosectioning.
• Perform routine and specialized staining techniques (H&E, special stains).
• Conduct immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence, and in situ hybridization.
• Assist in developing and optimizing histological and molecular protocols.
