Requirements

• Senior/National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Practice (Medical Practitioner).
• Proof of current registration with the HPCSA covering 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
• One year experience in a Paediatric Surgery Unit.
• Successful completion of the CMSA Surgical Primary examinations FCS (SA) is an added advantage.

Duties

• Work as a medical officer in the paediatric surgery unit at Steve Biko Academic Hospital.
