Mechanical Workshop Supervisor (Fitter & Turner – Conventional Machinery) - Urgently needed

Position Summary

Highly experienced & hands‑on Mechanical Workshop Supervisor with a strong Fitter & Turner background.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily mechanical workshop operations
• Lead and manage a team of 5 or more workshop staff
• Actively operate and work on conventional machinery, including Parallel Horizontal lathe, Vertical lathe, Milling machines, Boring machines, and Drilling machines
• Perform fitting, turning, machining to required tolerances
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings
• Create drawings from samples
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of all manufactured components
• Plan and prioritize work in a jobbing environment
• Maintain workshop equipment and keep machines operational
• Enforce strict health and safety standards
• Coordinate with other departments
