DEPARTMENT: PROCESSING
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist in manufacturing, reproducing and servicing mechanical parts in
a safe and efficient manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 /STD 10 or NQF 4 equivalent
Serviceman Certificate (Applicable Training Structures)
3 years' experience as an Engineering Assistant with work related experience
Valid Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate
COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of health and safety principles is key
Engineering background (Identify Tools, inspect for defects and maintain and use of tools) is essential
Basic Safety (Firefighting, first aid and emergency evacuating) essential
Basic business skills would be an advantage
Engineering drawing skills (N1) would be an advantage
