Mechanical design engineer

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the R& D team, the employee should be able to work independently & perform following duties to support the team's goals but not limited to the following:

Understanding of Mechanical design & requirements of the system/product. Own & lead the investigation of production and field issues/failures. Understand the technical issues and drive the root cause analysis. Collaborate with engineering and global production team to provide design solutions. Plan the timelines & execute the project for closures as per commitments. Research design options for product enhancements, cost, durability & production yield improvements & perform necessary experiments to determine potential design feasibility. Evaluate researched options from various aspects (manufacturability, usability, ID, DFMEA, cost) & enable cross- functional teams to take decisions on concept directions.
