**Job Title: Mechanic Helper / Mechanical Ship Repair Technician**
**Job Description**
This hands-on role supports ship repair projects by performing mechanical maintenance, disassembly, cleaning, inspection preparation, and reassembly of shipboard mechanical systems. You will work aboard active vessels in an industrial shipyard environment, using hand and power tools daily to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably in accordance with shipyard safety and inspection standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform mechanical maintenance and repair tasks aboard ships in support of ongoing and upcoming ship repair projects.
+ Disassemble low-temperature fresh water coolers by removing plates and gaskets, and prepare components for cleaning and inspection.
