Mechanic 310 T or 421 A

Position Overview

Reports To: Shop Manager

Location: Head Office, Etobicoke

Pay scale: $42.00 – $53.00 per hour depending on experience.

This position includes diagnosing causes of breakdown, ordering required parts, removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components, and implementing and/or modifying maintenance schedules.

Job Duties

• Repair and adjust hydraulic pumps, safety valves, and other necessary mechanical components
• Inspect, repair, and adjust gasoline and diesel-powered units
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliance
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries to the supervisor promptly
• Diagnose defects in heavy‑duty equipment
• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls when required
• Operate automotive servicing equipment
