Materials Handler (Motor Vehicle Operator)

Summary This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings. The incumbent serves as a Materials Handler performing tasks in the receipt, storage and delivery of furniture and furnishings. The duties may occasionally include driving a 24-foot-long box truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 26,000 pounds. A CDL is not required. Responsibilities The tour of duty for this position is: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM Work schedule may require some occasional mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends. Responsibilities: Unloads and uncrates furniture and furnishings such as carpet, chair mats, chairs, desks, file cabinets, glass for desk and table tops and tables.
