Manager, Transportation Service and Procurement

Job Purpose:

• The Manager of Transportation Services position is responsible and accountable for the daily activities of the APLL TMS teams at their respective site. overseeing the activities of the Operations Centers, Logistics Analysts, Business Reps, and the various on-site activities focusing on operational performance and adherence to business procedures.
• Assists in meeting the customer’s daily transportation requirements by working in a team environment by managing the daily activities of direct reports, ensuring the coordinators are meeting the customers KPI’s regarding cost savings, modal compliance, carrier refusals, and on-time service across all accounts. Providing daily reports and data regarding customer orders, modal analysis, tendering freight to carriers, and day-to-day troubleshooting to resolve carrier, customer, and ship point problems.
