Responsibilities

Lead the Data Engineering team at Staples, ensuring all work meets business objectives, supports executive leadership, and delivers high‑quality technical solutions.

Manage and develop associates (40%):

• Develop and mentor associates through task delegation and active observation.
• Evaluate performance via performance review process.
• Recruit new hires and backfill due to attrition.
• Collaborate with Director and HR to address performance concerns.
• Manage third‑party vendors, consultants, and temporary resources with guidance from Director.
• Offer expertise to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Work with technology leads and business leadership to define right technology solutions.
