Job Description
The BAS Manager: Controllership is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and financial controls allocated across all portfolios for Massmart by ensuring adherence to all financial control policies, statutory requirements, and internal audit standards, while supporting continuous improvement in finance operations.
FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Control and Reporting
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls within allocated portfolios to ensure compliance with Massmart and Walmart reporting requirements.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial recordkeeping system for all legal entities within the portfolio, at both operational and statutory levels.
- Manage all month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations. <...
