Job Description
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physical Operations (X-Dock)
- Determine physical operation (X-Dock) - (warehouse, terminal and trucking) operating standards, develop appropriate systems and determine manpower usage and requirements
- Ensure optimum utilization of equipment and materials planning, organizing the maintenance and inventory control methods of these resources
- Develop strong inter-departmental communication to ensure effective coordination with other related departments
- Ensure that customers’ freight do not deteriorate whilst under DHL care by enforcing compliance to proper handling/transporting procedure
- Ensure that all staff are aware of the service standards required and are able to perform effectively by providing on-the-job guidance, training and direction
