Summary This position is located in the Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Emergency and Regulatory Compliance Services (ERCS) in the Workers' Compensation Program and is responsible for facilitating wage replacement, payment for medical care, and return to work efforts for employees who sustain compensable work injuries. Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Administer the agency's Workers' Compensation program. Conduct studies of management and administrative processes and systems for the purpose of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program. Establish study methods and techniques for use in internal and external studies and audits. Analyze injury and illness claims for priority ranking and further action.
