**Job Summary**

Performs semi-skilled machining & mechanical work inspecting, repairing, rebuilding, and installing critical / large plant equipment (turbine rotors, generators, pumps, fans, etc.). Some components can weigh 90 tons or more.

**Job Description**

**What You'll Do:**

+ Operates machine shop and portable machine tools typically to perform rough turning, boring, drilling and threading operations, holding tolerances of +/- 0.010. Has the ability to interpret and work from simple prints & specifications as well as perform supporting measurement activities.
+ Performs all work in accordance with shop safety and quality standards; completes required paper work and facilitates appropriate record keeping. Has skilled abilities needed to maintain shop equipment.
