Maara Kai Intern: Urban Farm & Garden Experience

Auckland Council invites applicants for the Maara Kai Intern position at Manurewa High School, in partnership with Te Maara Kai o Wirihana and Auckland Botanic Gardens. The role focuses on seedling production, planting, community engagement and hands-on horticulture over nine months.

Schedule is 28 hours per week, Tue-Fri, Sep 2026 to May 2027. You will work with students across ages, support garden activities, and gain practical skills in urban farming, garden maintenance, and event support.
